Obituary of Madeline Supernant

Madeline Supernant was born August 27, 1942 to Roland and Ida Letendre in Mount Valley, Alberta. She was the middle child of 11 children. Madeline attended school in Elmsworth. At the age of 9 their family moved to Kelly Lake, BC where she continued her schooling. Madeline was 14 when she met Roy Supernant. As time went on they fell in love, had their first child, Rowena and joined hands in matrimony on February 6, 1959, in Kelly Lake BC. Not too long after she gave birth to her second child Dale. As their love grew so did their family. Madeline was blessed with 6 more children, Carl, Roland, Allen, Roseanne, Brad and Everett. While still residing in Kelly Lake their first grandchild Darlene was born whom she raised as her own. In 1976, they moved to Creston BC, where Madeline and Roy joined their first bowling league. They both developed a natural talent for the game making them into competitive bowlers, which turned into one of the greatest passions that they shared together. They continued bowling for many years, becoming two of the top bowlers in Dawson Creek. Before moving to Pouce Coupe, her second grandchild Leonard was born. Madeline's kids and grandchildren meant the world to her. Therefore she also decided to raise Leonard as her own. Madeline's family continued to grow. In the summer months she would take the children camping, this was the favorite time of the year. She got to spend time with the kids, make dry meat, pick berries, and hunt. The most devastating times of their lives was when tragedy struck with the loss of their sons Dale and Carl as well as the loss of grandson Leonard. She enjoyed watching her family play ball; she would get excited during close games. She also liked to play poker and gamble a bit, spending time with friends and family joking around laughing having a good time. After 52 years of marriage, Roy remained not just her husband but her best friend and soul mate. Madeline was a kind, strong willed, loving and respected wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all her knew and loved her. Madeline is predeceased by her parents Ida and Roland; brothers Doug, Walter; sister Mildred; sons Dale, Carl; grandson Leonard. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Roy; sons Roland, Allen, Brad, Everett; daughters Rowena, Roseanne, Darlene.
