Obituary of Carrie Forsyth
Carrie Lynn Wheeler Forsyth was born November 28, 1957 in New Westminster, British Columbia, the daughter of Edna and late Norris Wheeler. She was the second born of 3 siblings.
In 1986 she met Aubrey Gerstel, her partner of 24 years.
Carrie moved to Oliver, BC in 1966 where she later graduated from S.O.S.S in 1974.
She worked at the Royal Bank in Oliver, BC and Quesnel, BC for 6 years and later moved to Chetwynd, BC to start a 24 year career at West Fraser.
Carrie was predeceased by her father Norris; mother and father in law Martin and Sheila Gerstel.
Carrie will be lovingly remembered by her partner of 24 years Aubrey Gerstel; son Brett; mother Edna; brother Gary (Maggie), Tim (Stacey); brothers in law Carfrey (Cindy), Joe(Sandra), Norby; sisters in law Joanne (Ross), Janice (George), Rowena (Dave); many nieces and nephews.
Carrie passed away on Friday, July 16, 2010 at the age of 52 years.
A memorial tea was held on Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, Chetwynd, BC.
For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Carrie to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation.
