Obituary of Freda Sylvia Hauser
Freda was born on January 16, 1932 in Fox Valley, Saskatchewan to Richard and Anelie Wegh. She was raised in Wanham, Alberta around many dear neighbors with whom she walked to country schools. Freda loved the farm and animals and always had a cat, even in her later years.
At the age of 18 she applied to Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary for nurses' training and was accepted. Before she left for training, an oil agent from the local Treasury Branch, Ben Hauser, asked her to come work in his office...and the rest is "history". They were married for 51 years!
Freda was predeceased by her parents; Richard and Anelie, daughter; Janice, a sister and brother and beloved husband, Ben. She is survived by her daughters; Melody and Valerie, son; Rick(Laura), nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and sister-in-law; Clara.
Freda passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the age of 79 years. With respect to Freda's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
