Obituary of Carson Gregory Brazier

Carson Gregory Brazier was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba on January 29, 1949 to Frank and Lillian Brazier. He was a companion for his four year old brother Wayne. The family then moved to the HBM&S hydro-electric power plant facility in Island Falls, Saskatchewan when Greg was in grade four. Greg's early years were spent Pickerel fishing with Wayne in the tailrace of the power plant. The fishing was fantastic and it was only about a 1/3 mile walk home. There were many happy and memorable fishing and hunting trips together with their dog Skipper, all within a few miles from Island Falls. Greg was a natural born woods man even at a very young age. He moved to Fort Nelson, BC in the early sixties where he had bought a service station. Greg met his friend Mark at the Wild Duck Inn in 1979, they had to get to a crew boat to go to a logging camp at Pitt Lake for BCFP. They worked together there for about four years. Greg had met Jill in 1987 through Mark and his wife Ginny at their home in Mission, BC. The day they had met it was love at first sight. Greg and Jill have resided in Tumbler Ridge for the past twelve years, where they met many good friends. Over the years they had many memorable travels. Greg and Jill both loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing together. Greg passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 in Dawson Creek, at the age of 63 years. A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Tumbler Ridge Golf Course, Tumbler Ridge, BC. Pauline Haycock officiated. Interment will be at a later date.
