Obituary of Marie Delesky
Marie Delesky 1930 - 2014 Marie Delesky was born February 15, 1930 in Saskatchewan, and passed away April 12, 2014 in Dawson Creek, BC. In 1947 she moved to Chilliwack, took Nurse's Training and worked in Vancouver, Abbotsford and Chilliwack. In 1953 she met William Delesky and soon married. In 1970 they moved to Dawson Creek. She worked as a nurse for many years. Marie volunteered for the Hospital Auxiliary and numerous other volunteer work. Marie was predeceased by her late husband, William Delesky; parents John and Lena Dyck. She is survived by children Laura (David) Farrow, Sheila Delesky, Darell Delesky; grandchildren Amanda Farrow, Glen (Sara) Farrow, Michael and Brent Delesky; great grandchildren Rachel and Daniel Farrow; sisters Elizabeth Olesen, Greta (Norman) Cardiff; in-laws Louise Bergen, Molly Friesen, Edna (Art) Isaac, Anne Cornelson, Jake Willms, Kay Dyck, Ann Dyck. Marie will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A funeral service was held on April 19, 2014 at the Dawson Creek Alliance Church, Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
