Obituary of Gary James Graham

Gary Graham, a long time resident of Dawson Creek, B.C. passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 in Dawson Creek at the age of 66 years. Gary was born in Toronto, Ontario and was always a free spirit. His motto in life was always Troopers' song "We're here for a good time, not a long time, so have a good time, the sun can't shine everyday." Back in his biker days he was a man who loved his classic trucks, his Harley, his women, and having beers with his many buddies. Gary came up north to work at Quintette and that's where his whole life changed. He met the love of his life, Mary, and the two became inseparable. Gary settled down, he knew there was no other woman like Mary. Then came Nikki, his first born little girl followed by Brandi, his baby girl. Gary was a family man. He loved his one and only Mary, most of all Gary loved his two little girls more than life itself. Gary loved family camping and fishing trips. There were many good times spent out at Mary's sister Joan's farm and lots of nights spent out around the campfire with Bill, Joan and their children. Gary, his wife, and girls moved to Dawson Creek while Gary still worked at Quintette. He drove back and forth each day he worked. Gary retired early due to a head injury in 1995. He loved coffee time with his buddies - if coffee was on, Gary was there. He spent most of his older years at his friend Lorne's house, having coffee and bugging Lorne's kids Clint, Amy, and Aaron. If Gary and Lorne weren't having coffee they were scrounging through old junk yards looking for goodies. Gary loved puttering in his shop. He was always working on old trucks or fixing up old furniture. His daughters remember lots of old times hanging out in Daddy's shop trying to help him out with whatever they could. In their house on 98th, Gary was close with his buddy Owen Scheck. They were always hanging out and puttering around in their shops wth their tools. Gary was always picking on Owen's wife Shelia, calling her Shirley or picking on their kids Julian, Jared, and Tawni. Gary had many 'kids', neighborhood kids and children of his friends. When Gary wasn't at Larry's bugging Kim, Richard, and Victoria, he was at Norm and Rhonda's picking on Gage, Daylon, and Savannah. Those kids called him 'Grandpa Gary'. Gary had the best sense of humor around, which his daughter Nikki picked up quite fast. Everyone always called her 'Little Gary'. Gary was always playing jokes, whether it was hanging Mary's bras off the ceiling fan or hiding his daughters' shoes on the coat rack. Gary is survived by his wife Mary, his two daughters Nikki and Brandi, his stepson Rick (Tanya) Digby, his stepdaughter Dawn-Deena (Kelly) Hunter, his adoptive daughter Tina Stevens, his 'other daughters' Kelsey Rounds and Mandy Steward, his sisters Sharron, Gail, Debbie, brothers Rocky, Jim, Robert, Jimmy and his Grandchildren Tanelle Bigby, Max Bigby and Jessica Lund. With respect to Gary's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Interment will be at a later date. Very Respectfully Reynars Funeral Home and Crematorium
