Obituary of Benjamin Calliou
Ben Calliou, a long time resident of Chetwynd, B.C., passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 in Chetwynd, at the age of 78 years.
A Wake was held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the Saulteau First Nations Community Hall.
A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, June 12, at 10:00 am. at Saulteau First Nations Community Hall. Fr. Alvin Matias officiated. Interment followed in the Tuscoola Mountain Cemetery, Chetwynd, B.C.
Ben was predeceased by his sons; Curtis, Baby Joseph Benjamin, his parents; Joe Calliou and Sarah Monias, Grandma Cameron, his sisters; Helen, Maggie, and his brother Walter. Ben leaves to mourn his loving wife; Alice, children; Barry (Jerri), Marilyn (Roy), Colleen (Dave), Calvin, Grandchildren; Ginette (Conway), Chris, Curtis, Jordan, Mathew, Cole, Adam, Samantha, Mari, Jennelle, Tianna, Peter, Sarah,Great Grandchildren; Annaliese, Jacqueline, Dominick, Daniel, Justine, Sister; Elsie, numerous brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
