Obituary of Barry Richard Campbell

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barry Campbell. Barry was taken from us suddenly on Sunday, March 8, 2015 in Grande Prairie, Alberta at the age of 45 years. Barry was born in Dawson Creek on October 3, 1969 and lived with his Mom and Grandma Marceline at Moccassin Flats, later moving to Chetwynd. Barry was excited with the arrival of his first sister, Sara in 1972. At age six Barry started playing hockey, he excelled in the sport and this was where he made many lifelong friends. In 1977, Darlene met Darryl and Barry took to him from day one and called him "Dad". In 1980, his second sister, Tiffany was born and shared October 3rd as birthdays. Just before graduating in 1987 Barry's baby sister, Tasha was born. Later on in his life he met Candice, a sister at heart. After graduation and working at Supervalue and for his Mom who was the Manager at the Chetwynd Motor Inn, he decided he had enough and pursued the gas industry. Barry was proud to be so knowledgeable in the field, and he always felt confident knowing he could call his Dad for operating solutions. Baseball was a favourite past time, he grew up on the diamond and learned the strategy from his Dad. Of all things Barry loved, he really enjoyed kids. He joined the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Club in Grande Prairie just so he could hang out and have fun with kids. Barry was quite the comedian, life of the party, a great two-stepper and a self proclaimed "country singer". He also had quite the devious nature and was quick with his jokes . Barry always had to be around a crowd, he loved friends and had a way with words and he could talk you into anything. Barry I'm sure you have Heaven laughing & two-stepping with Aunt Milly. You are truly one of a kind and you will never be forgotten. Till we see you again Brother, Son, Uncle, Grandson and Friend we'll keep you in our hearts. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Chetwynd Fellowship Baptist Church, Pastor Bill Evans officiated, interment followed in the Tuscoola Mountain Cemetery.
