Obituary of Mathew Johnathan Scofield
Mathew Johnathan Scofield (Rutledge), resident of Dawson Creek and former resident of Taylor, British Columbia, passed away July 6, 2015. He was born April 19, 1993 in Fort St. John, British Columbia to Barb Rutledge. Mathew was the fourth child in the family. Mathew grew up in Taylor, attending elementary school there and then moving on to Bert Bowes Secondary School in Fort St. John. Mathew also attended Mountain Christian School in Dawson Creek. He was involved in Big Brothers & Sisters, Kids Club, and archery. Mathew was a helpful, kind, and loving person. He was a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews. He loved music, making things, and was learning to cook. Mathew will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Barb Rutledge, brother Earnie Steward, sisters Laura-Ann Steward (Jason Sullivan), Aubrey Stewart (Collin Berry), nieces Elizabeth Moi, Samantha Williams, Sophia Sullivan, nephew Brady Corbett, grandmother Muriel Rutledge, uncle Gordon Rutledge, and special friends the Stromquist family.
