Obituary of Yves Pierre Laloge

Yves Laloge 1916 ~ 2015 Yves Pierre Laloge, a long-time resident of Pouce Coupe, British Columbia, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at the age of 98 years. Yves was known to family and friends as Frenchie. He was born November 1, 1916 to Jeanne Marie and Jules Emile Laloge, the third of five children. Yves grew up and attended school in the Pouce Coupe area. In the earlier years, Yves helped to care for many of his nephews and nieces. Together with his wife Carol, they raised a family of 6 children. Yves had a variety of jobs throughout the years. He worked as a service mechanic and was a partner/owner and operator of a cement business. Yves mined in Yellowknife, worked at the Bennett Dam, and ran a grocery truck between Grande Prairie and Whitehorse. As a young man, Yves enjoyed playing baseball. Yves loved to read and would read an encyclopedia from cover to cover. He was kind, honest, loved children and animals, especially dogs and horses. Yves was predeceased by his wife, Carol Mary Laloge, and his siblings Emile, Johnny, Georgette, and Marcel. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Margo, Danny, Yvette, Kim, Sharlene, Rosanna, 18 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 2:00PM at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Dawson Creek, British Creek, officiated by Father Louis Kwena. Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Pouce Coupe, British Columbia.
