In his early 20's he moved to Vancouver, British Columbia to start a career as a carpenter. There he met and married his life time love, Helen. They moved to Cloverdale, British Columbia for a short time before moving to Sunset Prairie, British Columbia. There Karl enjoyed building and cattle ranching. In the last few years of his life Karl accepted the Lord Jesus as his Saviour. Karl was predeceased by his brother-in-law Snke Petersen. Karl will be missed by his wife Helen; his children Paul (Bonny), Ralph (Marcy) and Michael (Nancy); his sister Marlies; plus his 9 grandchildren. Until we meet again. A Tribute to Karl Schlauwitz May 31, 1934- Oct 22, 2015 Karl was an amazing man with an incredible dream, While talking cows and horses his eyes would beam So a rancher and a builder he was to be. Look at his buildings; perfection you'd see. He was a husband, father, grandfather and friend, And he lived his life fully right up to the end. Though he only knew his Saviour for a while, There were many changes his life, his sincere smile. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 is summarized for him, A story of his life and his heart within. There is a time for everything, A time to be born, die, plant and uproot; A time to kill, heal, tear down and build; A time to weep, laugh, mourn and dance; A time to scatter stones, gather, embrace and withdraw; A time to search, give up, keep and throw away; A time to tear, mend, be silent and speak; A time to love, hate war and peace. Karl was amazing, as we reflect on his life, He leaves behind his sister, 3 sons and loving wife. He is called home, in Heaven he'll be, Jesus is his Saviour; Karl is now truly free! Service 11:00 am Friday, October 30, 2015 Bergeron Chapel 10200-17th Street DAWSON CREEK, British Columbia, Canada V1G 4C2
