Obituary of Gerald "Jerry" Stanton
Gerald Stanton, a longtime resident of Fort St. John, B.C., passed away on Friday, October 30, 2015 in the Fort St. John General Hospital at the age of 85 years. Gerald was born in Old, Alberta on March 26, 1930 to parents Wilfred and Ellen Stanton. He was the youngest of four children. Gerald was a longtime employee of Fort Motors Ltd. in Fort St. John. Gerald was predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Ellen, his brother Ian Stanton, and his sister Denise Stanton. Gerald is survived by his children: Derald (Patrice Grismer) Stanton, Randal (Pat) Stanton, and Sandra Stanton, his grandsons Brandon and Jamie, and his brother Ron, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Service to be announced at a later date. For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Gerald to the Canadian Cancer Society, British Columbia and Yukon Division, 565 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C. V5Z4J4.
