Obituary of Arden Arthur Lineham

Arden Lineham, a resident of Armstrong, B.C. formerly of Groundbirch, B.C. passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015 in Prince George, B.C. at the age of 65 years. Arden Arthur Lineham was born on December 26, 1949 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia to parents Don and Olga and was the oldest of four children. he grew up on the family farm in Groundbirch. Ardie attended vocational school in Dawson Creek, B.C., where he was taking mechanics. He met Leslie Sparks during this time, and a year later they were married on August 4, 1973. In 1974, while on a summer vacation travelling in the Vernon, B.C. area, they fell in love with a small community called Lumby and decided that this is where they would call home and start a family. Ardie began work with a summer paving crew and when winter came along he went to work for a logging outfit. On November 25, 1974, along came Dwayne Arthur Lineham, a handsome, happy, little redhead boy who brought a new heartfelt joy to their home as he grew. Then on September 30, 1975, a beautiful, little angel girl, RaeLeigh Lineham was born adding more new warmth to the family home. A short, three months later on December 21, 1975, their angel passed away from crib death. RaeLeigh Lineham was laid to rest in the Lumby Cemetery. Ardie and Leslie eventually moved back to Groundbirch, where they raised their boy Dwayne on the family farm. When Ardie was working on his vehicles he liked to have Dwayne help him clean the parts and any other little tasks that needed to be done. When Dwayne was four years old, Ardie taught him how to drive Grandpa's little green dozer. Ardie showed Dwayne how to drive big trucks, pickup trucks, skidders, and loaders. He taught Dwayne all the important things in life he has needed to know. Ardie loved to go camping and hunting with his dad and brothers. Ardie's love of music got him started in his first band in the mid 1980's. He was an awesome singer and guitar player. He band names were Ghost Riders, Overland Express, and Art and the Boogie Mountain Band. Ardie used to take his nieces for rides in his big truck and brought chocolate bars, chocolate chip cookies, and ice cream for treats. He was even known to offer a lesson or two on guitar. He left behind a good example to never give up, be strong and independent, stretch yourself and sometimes, the pains are worth the gain but don't quit living. Arden was predeceased by his parents Don and Olga Lineham, and his daughter RaeLeigh Lineham. Arden is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Leslie, his son Dwayne (Lori), his grandchildren Hailey and Kole, his sister Donna (Brian) Wetherill, and his brothers Noel (Laurie), and Rodney (Charlene), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
