Obituary of Martin Theriault

Joseph Martin Theriault, a resident of Hudson Hope, B.C. passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 in the loving arms of his mother in Chetwynd, B.C. at the age of 49 years. Martin was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on July 15, 1966 to parents J. Gilles Theriault and Marlene (nee Bent) Deion. Martin and his family moved to Bridgetown, N.S. in 1972 where Martin attended Elementary and High School. He spent many hours with his Grandfather Bent learning how to drive any tractor or vehicle, and finding out how to take care of machinery. Martin moved to Quebec in his teen years and met the love of his life, Linda LeFebvre. They welcomed their first child Brandon on Jan 26, 2000. On May 15, 2002 Allison was born. With their family now complete they moved to Red Deer, Alberta to pursue his love of tractor-trailer driving. Martin long hauled to the United States and the pipelines with several companies. He made many friends and always kept in touch. About two years ago, he realized the dream of his life and purchased a new Kenworth and his company became Braison Oilfield Hauling Ltd; named after his children, Brandon and Allison. Cancer has shortened his life many years too soon. Martin was predeceased by his grandparents Arthur and Phyllis Bent, and Benoit and Juliette Theriault. Martin is survived by his father; J. Gilles Theriault of Caplan, Q.C. mother; Marlene (Ernie) Deion of Greenwood, N.S., his loving common-law wife of 23 years; Linda LeFebvre, his children; Brandon and Allison of Hudson Hope, B.C., sisters; Danielle (Christian) of Lanqevin, Q.C., and Christine (Tracy) Mitchell of LR Sackville, N.S., half sister; Marie Chantal Theriault of Gatineau, QC, along with several aunts, nieces, nephews, and special nephew; Jamey Theriault of Fort St. John, B.C. A Commemorative Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Community Hall, in Hudson's Hope, B.C. There will also be a memorial service held in New Richmond, Q.C. and in Bridgetown, N.S. at a later date. Very Respectfully Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium
