Obituary of Jerry Boudreault

Jerry Boudreault, a long time resident of Chetwynd, B.C. passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Chetwynd at the age of 88 years. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Gerard Boudreault. Jerry was born in Ormeaux, Saskatchewan on February 6, 1927 to parents Antoine Boudreault and Eva Gaboury. He was the eldest of eight children. Jerry worked for the railroad, P.G.E., he then went to work for Gordon Moore Sawmill, and then to the Phillip 66 service station. In 1964, Jerry opened his own auto body shop called Jerry's Repair Service. Jerry purchased the lumber from Pete and Paul Demulemeester and built the shop with his good friend Swan Lundeen. Jerry and Jeanie had three sons: Alain, Nestor, and Johnny. Nestor passed away at the age of three, and a fatal car accident claimed Jeanie in 1968. In 1970, Jerry met Doris Bjorge and in 1972 they welcomed a daughter named Dena. Jerry and Doris parted ways in 1977; Doris now resides in Chilliwack, B.C. Throughout his life Jerry loved fishing, hunting, traveling with his friends and family, gardening, and farming on his 83 acres. He also enjoyed sharing his many opinions with friends at the local A&W. Jerry is survived by his son Alain Boudreault and his children Neil and Brandon, his son Johnny Boudreault and his children Zoe and Grayson, his daughter Dena Larsen and her husband Trevor, and their daughter Rachelle, his brother Harvey (Louise), and his sisters Yolunde, Jenine, and Paulette. A Social Tea was held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Chetwynd Fellowship Baptist Church to celebrate Jerry's life. A private family interment was held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 in the Tuscoola Mountain Cemetery where Jerry was laid to rest.
