Obituary of Helene Marie Berube

It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Helene Berube announces her passing on February 13, 2016 in Chetwynd, British Columbia. She fought cancer bravely and faced her diagnoses with grace, positivity, humour, and love, with the well-being of her loved ones her first priority. Helene Marie Miville was born on May 16, 1960 in Rouyn Noranda, Quebec to Edgar and Graziella Miville. When she was 15 years old she moved with her family to Cranbrook, British Columbia, where she meet her forever love Reno Berube. They were married on July 26, 1980 in Edson, Alberta. On December 31, 1981 Helene and Reno began their parenting journey with the birth of their only son Steven Claude and were later blessed with two beautiful daughters, Melanie Julie on November 22, 1984 and Michelle Francine on September 7, 1987. Helene had great joy and pride in her children and along with raising her own, her heart and home was always open to others searching for a loving, safe, and warm place. Helene's selfless and giving spirit touched all those who knew her and will live on in the hearts of those she left behind; her siblings Suzanne (Claude), Francine, Bruno, and Julie (Wayne), nieces Danielle, Chantal, Natasha, and Stephanie, nephews James, and Alain, her husband Reno, children Steven, Ashley, Melanie, Lionel, and Michelle, and grandchildren Lili, Dominic, Benny, Micheal, and Jacob. She has gone to join her father Edgar and mother Graziella who went to heaven before her. Helene will be remembered as the amazing, hardworking, giving, strong, stubborn, beautiful woman that she was and will be greatly missed by many.
