Florence Lillian Stacey
Florence was born in Saskatchewan in 1921. She was the third child and first girl of seven children born to Ludwig and Goldie Bohn. The family moved to Cloverdale, British Columbia in 1929 and in the late 1940's, Florence moved to Vancouver where she worked as a housekeeper for several different families. One night, at a dance in Vancouver, she met Dick and before long he proposed. Shortly after that, they were married. When Florence moved to Dawson Creek as Mrs. Stacey, they lived in a one room cabin until Dick built their new home where they spent many happy years together before moving to Spruceland Manor. She loved her job at the Co-Op and worked there almost from her arrival in Dawson Creek until she retired. Florence was predeceased by her husband, Dick, in 2007 and she remained in their apartment until her passing on Sunday, February 21, 2016. She will be greatly missed by all her family and her many friends in Dawson Creek. With respect to Florence's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
