Obituary of Evyonne Caroline "Carol" Koenig

Carol Koenig, a resident of Quesnel, B.C., formerly of Chetwynd, B.C. passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in Dawson Creek, B.C. at the age of 72 years, surrounded by her loved ones. Carol's family, and her role as mother and grandmother, was one of the most important things to her. This is where she drew her strength and left her legacy. Being with her family was what Carol enjoyed most of all. Carol also enjoyed camping and being outdoors, she took great pride in gathering her family out there with her. She also received immense joy in volunteering her time at the soup kitchen in Chetwynd. It's hard to say goodbye, we wish that we had more time. While we know that she is at peace and that her struggles are at an end, there is pain and sadness. Even though she is gone, she has left the legacy of her love. Carol will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Carol is survived by all seven of her children, her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol was predeceased by her loving husband Pappy "Helmet" Koenig. A memorial service was held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Chetwynd Gospel Tabernacle, Chetwynd, B.C. Pastor George Rowe officiated. Interment followed in the Tuscoola Mountain Cemetery.
