Obituary of Alice Rose

In loving memory of Alice Rose (Berg) who passed away while in the Dawson Creek Hospital on April 6, 2016 at the age of 70. Alice was born April 17, 1945 in Edmonton, Alberta to Betty E. Berg. She was the first of 7 children. Mom loved to travel, camp, go fishing, do puzzles, and watch the Chuck wagons. She loved to visit and make people laugh. She loved special events when the family got together and she could cook with granddaughter Brianna there to help. She loved spending time with Brianna, taking her places and spending time together. They would go to Mickey D's every day after school to sit and visit, and have coffee while Brianna went to play. Mom and Brianna spent many days out at the Pouce Park camping and visiting and helping out when needed. After we were older, Mom worked various jobs over the years and loved to interact with the people there. Mom had many friends and will be missed and fondly remembered by all. She had a few special friends she talked to every day or every second day: Tatsy and Bill Wilson; Pat, Bob, and Kathy Petersen; and Kathleen Wendt. Mom was predeceased by husband Ken Rose, parents Doug and Betty Clay, sister Pam Fraser, brothers Earl and Lonnie Clay. She is survived by her children Doug (Darlene), and Val (Lloyd); grandchildren Sarah (Ken) Maher, Aaron Rounds, Kelsey Rounds, Dena (Scott) Meldrum, and Brianna Shuman; great-grandson Matthew Maher; sisters Rene (Doug), Barb (Raymond), Virginia (Rod); sister-in-law Wendy; brother-in-law Dennis; brother-in-law Bill (Barb) Rose and John Rose; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held in August.
