Obituary of Charles William "Chuck" Hoisington

Charles (Chuck) Hoisington was born December 20, 1928 in Simmie, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully May 5, 2016 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia at Rotary Manor. Chuck and his brother came west when they were teenagers to look for work in Alberta. He met his wife of 63 years, June, in 1951. They had 4 children: Beatrice, Bruce (Sheryl), Dale (Sandy) and Dianna. They have 6 grandchildren Crystal (Kevin), Tee Cee (Christy), Beatrix (Joel), Justin, Luke and Ashley, and t 5 great-grandchildren: Dylan, Gracie, Lily, Charlee, and Levi. Chuck was a member of the Operating Engineers 115 for 63 years. He worked on various construction jobs over the years including the Mica Dam and the Revelstoke Dam. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife June, all children and grandchildren, 2 sisters Verla and Gladys (Richard), and 2 brothers Bob and Lorne (Ruby). Honoring Chucks request, there will be no service. Donations of sympathy in his name can be made to the Dawson Creek division of the SPCA.
