Obituary of Mike Tickle

It is with great sadness that the family of Mike Tickle announces his sudden passing on Friday, July 8, 2016 in Regina, SK at the age of 34 years. Mike was born in Kingston, ON but lived most of his life in Portage la Prairie, MB. He was very gifted musically and learned to play the piano by ear at 3 years old. He later took lessons to be able to read music, but really hated to practice! He was also passionate about electronics, particularly computers, and he was an avid gamer. Mike was very creative and artistic, he loved to draw and create animation, as well as designing tattoos. He would drop everything to help a friend, especially if they were having a computer problem. Mike had just moved to Regina to start a new job and his future looked bright. Mike leaves behind two daughters, Cythera and Soritta and their mother Chelsea McKay, his mother Wendy (Erle) McIntyre, half-brothers Curtis Hainsworth and Jonathan Harrison, and his Uncle David Tickle. He was predeceased by his grandfather John Tickle, his father Denis Harrison and his favorite auntie, Rachel Buckmaster. Visitation will take place at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. A celebration of Mike's Life will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Julie Baker officiating. A reception will be held in the Trimble Room after the service for those who wish to share stories and memories. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Mike's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
