Obituary of Laura Wilhelmina Barber
Laura Wilhelmina Barber (ne Sheppard), resident of Peace Villa, Fort St. John and formerly of Dawson Creek, passed away peacefully in her sleep August 5, 2016 at the age of 97. She was born June 27, 1919 in Ponteix, Saskatchewan. Laura is survived by her children Larry, Doug (Heddy), Dale (Roberta), and Joyce (Sandy); grandchildren Kim, Kelly, Loa, Nicole, and Lawrence; eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Laura was predeceased by her husband, Archie Barber; siblings Bill, Nina, and Robert; and granddaughter Brenda Lee (Barber) Bellman. Laura will be laid to rest in the Hinterland Cemetery, Hines Creek, Alberta at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Bergeron Funeral Services & Crematorium Ltd.
