Obituary of Ethel Irene Wood
Ethel Wood, longtime resident of Chetwynd, B.C., passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Chetwynd at the age of 78 years. Ethel Irene Courtorielle was born on December 24, 1937 in Moberly Lake, B.C. to parents Alfred and Mary. Ethel was predeceased by her parents, her husband Les, her son Dale, and three grandchildren. Ethel is survived by her children, Penny (Larry), Rick, Beverly, Mary (Greg), Mick and Doug, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family. A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Chetwynd Fellowship Baptist Church. Pastor Bill Evans officiated. Interment followed in the Lake View Cemetery, Moberly Lake, B.C. For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Ethel to the Chetwynd & District Hospital Foundation, Long Term Care, Box 121, Chetwynd, BC V0C 1J0.
