Obituary of June Evelyn Kidd

KIDD, June Evelyn formerly PAULSON, June Evelyn nee: Kobeluck July 27, 1936 - August 26, 2016 It is with deep sorrow, but with joyful gratitude for the gift of her life, we would like to announce that our dearest mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, June, has passed peacefully from this world after living with dementia for a few years. She was 80 years old. After a full and rich life, in which she blessed those who knew her, June is now in eternity. June was born in Edmonton, Alberta, raised in the nearby community of Thorsby, and lived most of her adult life in the Peace River area of northeastern, British Columbia - Hudson's Hope, Dawson Creek, and most recently Fort St. John where she resided for the past five years at the North Peace Villa. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children and one step-daughter: Danny (Wendy) Dembicki, Corinne (Clay) Sproule, Eileen (Simon Trevelyan) Burkholder, Trina (Ken) Holmberg and Craig (Marlene) Hutscal, plus eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Her passions were her family, friends, gardening and cooking. June was predeceased by her mother, Katie Kobeluck, and her husband, Harry Paulson (2000). June and Harry were the co-owners of King Appliance in Dawson Creek and long-time members of the Dawson Creek Alliance Church. She remarried to Claude Kidd in 2003. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Dawson Creek Alliance Church. June will be laid to rest in Brookside Cemetery in Dawson Creek.
