Obituary of Sarah Maureen Pringle

Sarah Maureen Pringle born in Dawson Creek November 17, 1997 to Wayne Pringle and Linda Norden, the younger sister to Trevor and Jennifer Pringle and older sister to Heather Pringle. Throughout the years, Sarah gracefully grew from the sweet little blue eyed, blonde haired girl into a young vibrant lady. Everybody, whether it be an acquaintance or stranger, quickly became familiar with her smile. That contagious smile that would light up a room and make you feel welcome. She had a way of drawing attention to herself with her warm bubbly attitude and sometimes, if you were lucky to know her well enough you would get the bossy beautiful side that demanded you to pay attention. Sarah loved animals growing up and always wanted to be a vet as a young girl. She and her sister Heather practiced on many farm animals including goats, chickens, cats, horses and dogs. Sarah enjoyed drawing pictures of horses and other farm animals. She was always making cards for people she cared for, telling them how loved they were. A special card was one she made for her father on Father's Day, it read"Dad, to the one who has seen the worst in us but somehow brings out the best. Love Sarah." One line that showed her insightfulness, her understanding, her appreciation, and her love. Sarah, her brother Trevor, and sisters Jen and Heather spent many days at the river, or making memories on the farm with her big brother and sister doing their best to keep her in line when needed. Sarah's adventurous spirit and dare devil attitude ensured they were destined to fail from time to time, like the day Sarah, with her chubby little butt, jumped off the roof of the house onto her mom's car and blamed Heather. Sarah enjoyed and encouraged family get together's. Her favorite was having outdoor bon-fire's, telling stories and playing guitar. Wayne taught her how to play guitar at a young age and she was blessed with her very own guitar on her 16th birthday. From there she practiced vocals along with her guitar and occasionally played piano as well. Her first song was a special one that her grandfather had played many years before, "There's A Bluebird on My Windowsill". Singing was always something that came easily to Sarah and many of us were blessed to enjoy her voice and the confidence she portrayed singing in front of family, friends, and strangers. Sarah sang "Seven Spanish Angels" along with "Coat of Many Colours" by Dolly Parton at the Dawson Creek Fall Fair THE BIG BAND STAND, leaving behind not a dry eye in the audience. If Sarah loved you, she considered you family! Never shy, she would blast through your door making herself at home. Helen and Wayne Ezard were such a family and had a special place in their hearts for Sarah being part of her life from a baby and treating her like a daughter. Sarah had a special love and connection with horses. On Wayne's family farm outside of Pouce Coupe, BC, Sarah was free to ride and work with her horses. On the way to finding herself, a pony named Skittles found her. Together they had run-away fights under barb wire fences and many days of just horsing around together. Not long after, Wayne gifted Sarah his trusty pack horse Ben. Ben soon became Ben the show horse Ben the flag horseBen the drill team horse Ben the therapeutic horse and Ben the gymkhana horse He wore many hats, always loyal and faithful to Sarah in everything they did. Sarah was given another special horse, this one with the speed and fire like herself. She named her after what many of us felt Sarah was herself, "Gemm.". In the beginning there were many hard falls and more than a couple a day. But for those who witnessed Sarah working with Gemm they knew, she would dust herself off and get back on. Bravery or stubbornness she never gave up. In the end, Gemm was her go to, a friend she could tell all her girl secrets tooIt became official, Sarah was Gemm's person. Sarah then joined the 4H Club. Wayne and Linda were huge supporters with Linda a leader and Wayne helping by supplying live music and hauling. Sarah held the position of president four years in a row and was a huge role model and mentor to many kids. It was always known that Sarah was always their to help any newcomer through the ropes. Sarah also found a second home at the Lazy E P Equine centre with Christine Painter being her mentor. She became known as a "barn rat" a name she loved. Christine gave her an opportunity to share her love of the sport helping other kids with their love for horses. Always there to give a helping hand cinching a saddle, grooming a horse, throwing on a bridle for youngsters that were all following a dream, just like Sarah herself. Sarah continued her training with Gemm at the Lakota Centre, winning the hearts of those who met her and sometimes working with the rest of the barn rats driving us adults crazy. Sarah participated in the Drill Team for the Lakota Christmas Extravaganza show for three years with her cousins Kieanna and Aleeza. Together they rode like the wind while bringing excitement to the audience, bringing home many standing ovations. We can't forget the serious head on collision nearly wiping out some of the Pringle genes, not to mention heart failure for parents and the coach. Sarah then started showing horses. She was a huge supporter of the Dawson Creek horse show helping helping us at the show rings, selling 50/50 tickets, being a ring stewardess, and whipper in. Showing soon came to an end as Sarah had the desire and adrenaline for speed and decided to take her horse Gemm and compete in BC High School Rodeo. She couldn't wait to race Gemm around those barrels and was focused and determined to get better and better with each run and they did! Sarah's dreams and goals included barrel racing, goat tying, pole bending, and making friends along the way, all of which she accomplished. She was the flag bearer for 3 consecutive years for the professional rodeo association. She also worked with Connie Patterson at the Dawson Creek Exhibition as Connie's right hand woman, a title that required a driven mind and tough skin. She was part of the rodeo magic helping to dress-up goats, yes clothing on goats. Sarah truly was such a huge face for the Dawson Creek Rodeo Association and her passion for it, was such an inspiration to so many young kids who wanted to be just like her. Sarah had an amazing bond with her niece Emma, helping her whenever she could in life, especially in the horse world and they loved doing the fun "girl" things that came with their relationship. Sara loved Wayne and Linda deeply. Her eighteen years of being their daughter was something she deeply cherished and in her last few months of fighting found strength to show her gratitude and love for all of their support. Sarah is looking down on her siblings knowing as a sister you have a duty to be the best you can be. Sara wouldn't want it any other way. To the many friends that felt special, you were and always will be. Hold your memories tight and smile when you think of Sarah, this is what she would want. Sarah will be smiling and riding with the angels above and in that we can all find peace and comfort knowing she is pain free now and waiting on the other side to meet again. In closing I would like to share a favorite quote from Sarah "Let no one who loves be called unhappy. Even love unreturned has its rainbow" -J.M Barrie Service 2:00 pm Friday, November 25, 2016 South Peace United Church 1300 104 Ave DAWSON CREEK, British Columbia, Canada V1G 2J6 Interment Riverview Cemetery Briar Ridge Road POUCE COUPE, British Columbia, Canada V0C2C0
