Obituary of Patricia Joan Renninger

Patricia Renninger, a resident of Dawson Creek, B.C., passed away peacefully in Rotary Manor, on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the age of 84 years. Patricia was born in Hythe, Alberta on July 1, 1932. She helped raised her much younger sisters, and loved them like a mother. Patricia moved to Tupper, B.C. when she was 19 to work for the Renninger family. The Renninger family had an airplane base camp, a campground and most importantly, a son. Clare and Patricia fell in love and soon married. They lost their first child three days after being born, they then adopted a baby girl named Velda Jean. Later they lost a baby boy who was stillborn. They had many children often stay with them over the years, a few to mention are Mike Keel, Maryann Noll and Sharon Richards. They always had an open home for anyone in need. Patricia loved her family, and had a special place in her heart for everyone. When Clarence started working for NAR, and later CN Rail, they moved to a property near the Tupper Store staying there until Clarence retired. They moved to Centennial Manor in Dawson Creek and after Clarence passed, Patricia continued to live there for a few more years. Patricia then moved to PCCH and then to Rotary Manor. She kept the second floor staff on their toes, and built a great relationship with many of the staff there. Her family would like to give many thanks to the staff at Rotary Manor for the wonderful care of Patricia. A Graveside Service was held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Brookside Cemetery, Dawson Creek. Pauline Haycock officiated. Friends were invited to further share the day with Patricia's family for a Social Tea in Reynars Tea Room at 1:00 PM.
