Obituary of Linda Marie Watson

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Watson who was taken from us suddenly on Friday, March 17, 2017 in Moberly Lake, B.C. at the age of 47 years. Linda Marie Watson was born in Dawson Creek on October 13, 1969. She was the fifth of eight children born to Ken Watson and Marveline Napolean. Linda was an astounding woman, and to know her was a blessing. She was always the historian of the family saving family photos, keeping family heirlooms, and preserving family history. She was consistently the organizer and you could count on her to get everything just right. Linda loved to make family traditions and always went all out for the kids on the holidays. Without fail, every season, she would decorate the house top to bottom. At Christmas she would bake cookies for elders, or arrange cookie exchanges for women in the community. She would actively decorate and organize events at the band hall and she was at every wedding, birthday, hockey game, track meet, you name it. When Linda wasn't with her brothers and sisters, cousins, and babies, you could find her reading a Jude Devareaux book, doing yard work, gardening, berry picking, canning, baking, or sipping some wine. She took pride in her house and was a wonderful hostess. She was also a wonderful cook, and had aspirations of getting her Red Seal. Her big dinners and breakfasts at her house are always going to be missed. Above all, out of anything in this world, she loved spending time with her family, especially her babies, Kaylin and Krystina. Days spent with them camping, mushroom picking, and summers by the lake, are some of the most fondest memories of her. That's when she was in her element. Linda was predeceased by her brother Kevin and her sister Adina. A Wake was held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the Saulteau First Nations Community Centre, Moberly Lake, B.C. A Celebration of Life was held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Chetwynd Recreation Centre, Chetwynd, B.C. Pastor Bill Evans officiated. Interment will be at a later date.
