Obituary of Donald Carlson

Don Gustaf Carlson March 15, 1923 - July 14, 2017 Don was born on March 15, 1923 in Vancouver, British Columbia. He was the eldest child of Gustaf and Ada Carlson. When Don was seven, the Carlson's moved from Vancouver to the Arras area, where they homesteaded. On November 4, 1949 Don married the love of his life Doreen Lois Jerome. Don and Doreen lived in Dawson Creek until they moved to their farm on Upper Cutbank in 1962. Don did mechanic work for Dawson Creek Motors and McLeods before he drove school bus for District #59 until his retirement in 1988. Don is survived by his wife of 67 years Doreen, his children Ivan (Debbie), Marlene (Barry), and Ross (Joanne), 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 1PM at the George Dawson Inn, Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
