Obituary of Diana May Anderson

Diana Anderson, a lifelong resident of Hudsons Hope, BC, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday October 6, 2017 at Fort St John Hospital, at the age of 77 years. Diana was born November 18, 1939 at St. Marys Hospital, New Westminster, BC. She was the third child born to Ella and Nick Junglas. Diana grew up in New Westminister with her 6 siblings: 2 brothers; Stan and Walter along with 4 sisters; Ann, June, Pat, Joyce. Diana met her husband, Emil Alvenis Anderson when they were 16 years old and were married on January 30, 1960. Diana and Al had their first of 3 daughters; Tina in 1964, Deanna followed in 1966 then baby, Ramona in 1969. They travelled around BC in the construction industry, making memories and friends as they went. They eventually settled in Hudsons Hope, in 1976. Diana always bragged about not getting a speeding ticket for the 50 years she had her license. Diana loved to do jigsaw puzzles, was lucky at the slot machines, and played many games of Canasta and Bingo. Diana leaves behind to mourn her husband of 57 years; Al, her daughters; Tina (Steve), Deanna (Kevin) and Ramona (Bill). She leaves 8 grandchildren; Samantha (Monty), Jessica, Colton, Calvin, Christina, Ashley, Ross and Brooke as well as many nieces and nephews. Diana was predeceased by her parents; Ella and Nick, sisters; June, Pat and Joyce, and brother, Stan. With respect to Diana wishes no formal funeral service will be held, interment will be held at a later date.
