Obituary of Margaret Scott

Margaret Scott 1923-2017 Margaret Rose Scott, resident of Dawson Creek, passed away December 17, 2017 at the age of 94 years. She was born June 28, 1923 in Gretna, Manitoba to Isbrand and Margaret (nee Bergern) Friesen, the sixth of seven children. Margaret was never quick to criticize and was always a fair person. She truly loved all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; always asking how the babies were doing. She had very fond memories of her childhood, remembering her parents and siblings in Manitoba. Mom attended UBC for her education degree and spent the course of her teaching career in Moberly Lake, Rolla, and Grandview School in Dawson Creek. She also believed strongly in supporting charities for children, donating to various organizations over the course of her life. Margaret is survived by her son David (Suzanne) Scott; grandchildren Abe, Ivy, Shayna, Stephanie, Bradley, and Carolyn; and great-grandchildren Karley, Khloe, Hayden, Maddex, Carter and Nixon. When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little but not for long, and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we all shared. Miss me - but let me go. For this journey we all must take, and each must go alone. It is all part of the master's plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sad at heart, go to the friends we know, and bury your sorrow in doing good deeds. Miss me - but let me go.
