Obituary of Wilma Elizabeth Bahm

Wilma Elizabeth Bahm (nee Fleming) (September 21, 1932 - March 5, 2018) Wilma was born in September 21,1932 in Grande Prairie hospital. Her parents Joe and Lala came from Ottawa Valley taking up a homestead in Demmitt during the dirty thirties. Around 1940, they crossed the Peace River to Cherry Point. Wilma would spend the rest of her life in this area. Marrying Jack Bahm in 1957, they lived in Goodlow, Clayhurst and finally Bear Canyon. Together they had 10 children and soon many grand and great grandchildren. Wilma loved her big family and farm life. Her veggie garden and flowers along with all the farm animals gave her great joy. Remarkably, she never missed a birthday, anniversary or graduation. She is remembered for her kindness and generous spirit. On March 5, Wilma slipped away at Dawson Creek hospital. She was 85. Her parting has left a huge void in our lives. We will forever remember this quiet gentle woman. She is predeceased by her brother, Bob and sister, Etta; her grandson, Cory and her husband Jack. She is survived by her sister Carmel and brother Fred; her children: Beverly (Keith), Hannah (Wes), Ray (Penny), Herb (Tammy), Pat (Cindy ), Terry (Patsy ), Carrie (Siegfried ), Roxane (Dan ), Angela (Shayne), Sheila (Victor); and her 35 grandchildren and great grandchildren. With respect to Wilma's wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Wilma may be made to the South Peace SPCA, 637 - 114 Avenue, Dawson Creek, British Columbia V1G 3A1.
