Obituary of Tia Lawton

Tia Lawton 1986 - 2018 Tia Tamara Lawton (nee Foster) was born in Dawson Creek on July 6, 1986 to parents Adonia and Tim Foster. She passed away on March 25, 2018 following a multi-year battle with cancer at the age of 31. Tia's family wishes to express thanks for all the love and support that has been shown throughout this time. She will be deeply missed by her husband David, sons Waylen and Casen, brother Kiefer (Shayna), grandmother Violet Underhill, extended family and numerous friends. Throughout this time, Tia showed us incredible perseverance, resilience and strength. She often amazed both doctors, and her never-tiring caregiver, mother Adonia, with her calmness and her grace. Even as exhausted as she was, she kept up with her two little boys and continued to keep her family strong. Tia rarely complained, though she was often in discomfort. Through the tears, there were many laughs. She was a realist, and though her situation was incredibly unfair, Tia never was. She showed everyone kindness, and passed that trait on to both of her sons. As we remember Tia, we will find comfort in thinking of the many moments of fun, love, and happiness we have all shared with Tia and her family over the years. These are the treasures that Tia has left for us to share and hold dear. Tia's life, though short, was lived to the fullest. She was beloved wife, graceful mother, beautiful daughter, sister and granddaughter, and a strong and loyal friend. A Celebration of Life was held on March 30, 2018 at the Bergeron Funeral Chapel. She will be remembered forever and loved for always. We love you Tia.
