Obituary of Darcy Groves
Darcy Allan Groves Apr 26, 1957 - Apr 14, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darcy Groves. He leaves behind his loving wife Glenda, 8 children, 9 grandchildren, 6 siblings, and many, many friends; he was predeceased by his parents. Family was everything to him. His wife was his rock and his pride and joy were his children. He was an avid volunteer in the community and his home was open for all to enjoy. Darcy loved fishing, boating, camping and sitting by the fire; he loved farming, bull riding, and music of all genres. Most of all, he loved to tease. He made time spent together enjoyable and full of laughter. He will be remembered fondly by many as "Big Man with a Big Heart"; full of compassion, humour, and love. A memorial service was held on April 21 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 258 in Chetwynd. Expressions of sympathy may be made by donation to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 258, PO Box 475, Chetwynd, BC, V0C 1J0.
