Obituary of Eileen Dunbar

Eileen Dunbar, a farmer/rancher, and life-long resident of Groundbirch, BC, passed away on Wednesday, August 03, 2022, at the age of 79 at the Rotary Manor in Dawson Creek BC. Eileen is survived by her loving husband Darwin Dunbar; children Donald, Darren (Barbie) and Denton (Freya); 5 grandchildren and brother, Tom Parr. She is predeceased by her father, Frank Parr; and mother, Edna Parr (Warren) and brothers Bert Parr and Stan Parr. Eileen was born in Pouce Coupe on February 14, 1943, to Frank and Edna Parr. She went to a small rural school in Groundbirch followed by dormitory living in Dawson Creek finish high school. Eileen married Darwin Dunbar in October of 1961. Eileen and Darwin had three sons, Donald, Darren and Denton Eileen was a devoted wife and mother and an avid farmer/rancher. She enjoyed living and working on the ranch with her family and actively looked forward to the different seasonal activities with her family. Eileen cared for her father and mother on the ranch in their final years as well as her brother Bert. Eileen and Darwins family Donald, Darren (Barbie) and Denton (Freya) live and work on the ranch with her grand children Donavan, Dalton and Dalaney (Darren and Barbie) and Ayla and Damon (Denton and Freya). One of Eileens greatest joys was working as a teachers aid/librarian at McLeod Elementary School with local area children. A private family service is to be scheduled at a future date.
