Obituary of Bill Rose
Bill was born August 3, 1937 in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan to James and Louella Rose. He was raised around Loon Lake and Green Lake where his Dad owned a Trading Post. They moved to Hillsprings, Alberta, where his dad owned a cafe.
Bill worked for many area Ranchers growing up; Fritzpatricks, Shooning's, Ernie Kredlin, along with many others. They left Hillsprings and moved to Bearberry where his dad owned a farm. It was there he met and fell in love with Cheryl Johnson. They were married in 1965 in Sundre, Alberta after leaving for the north (Whitehorse, Yukon).
Bill worked for the mines and surveyors. They had 3 children there; Teresa, Jimmie and Hank. They moved to Chetwynd, B.C. in 1972 where they then had one more child, Victor. Chetwynd was home until Bill's passing on January 27, 2009.
A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the Chetwynd Baptist Church, Pastor Bill Evans officiated. Interment was held in the Tuscoola Mountain Cemetery.
Bill will always be missed by his loving family and friends.
